We are seeking a permanent, full-time BUSINESS ANALYTICS STRATEGIST, to work on site at 2405 Foothill Blvd., Ste. A, La Crescenta, CA 91214.
Key job duties:
Formulate and apply computer modeling and other methods to optimize conceptualization, formulation and development of process for logistics engagements. Define data requirements; collect, validate and analyze data, and develop methodologies to identify customer and company needs and market opportunities, and to define detailed specifications of company qualifications. Develop and administer databases for prospective clients and interactions with government agencies, as needed. Develop and maintain solutions to integrate company’s operations systems (software) and third party logistics platforms to provide live reporting and visibility of sales and operations for management. Design, develop and maintain systems to monitor performance and metrics of carriers and international agents. Automate overall logistics workflows. Develop best practices for consulting clients (FreightOs, SimpliShip, Xpress Rate). Design, implement, oversee and maintain internal business processes and procedures, including but not limited to logistics systems, project management systems and schedules, bid process criteria, etc. Develop, implement and administer systems to forecast and evaluate optimal time, resources, budget and
logistics for project document control and scheduling. Generate trend analysis for prediction, forecast and evaluation of future needs. Develop and apply time, cost and other allocations to plan, control, and review projects. Monitor and evaluate performance during all project phases, including meeting revenue and profitability targets; define and implement changes to existing processes to improve revenue and profitability results. Formulate systems and processes for monitoring and evaluating performance and pricing of partners (e.g., freight forwarders, trucking companies, Customs brokers, warehouses, etc.). Design work flow for daily, weekly, monthly activities. Implement and perform document tracking, control and management; develop and interpret information to assist logisticians with scheduling decision making and tracking. Analyze project profitability, establishing strategies, prices and bid and compliance product configurations.
M.S. or equivalent in Logistics Management or related. Bachelor’s plus at least 5 years’ progressive experience accepted as equivalent.
